Hottest day so far

Weather in NJ today was just like in Dubai (on a good summer day). It reached 99 degF, felt like 108 degF. 

Weekends are just so precious, so father and son still took a walk around the hood in the evening...

Friday is a rest day

There are days that we don't do very much. Today is the day. I've been feeling so exhausted trying to keep up with the active toddler, so it's my Friday day off from activities. We hung out in the room while I attempted to take a nap. At least I squeezed in 30 mins without any dramas. He was kept entertained by his toys!! Woohoo! And these days, it's gotten so much better that I can leave him to his dinner while I prepare mine.

Shane is gonna be a big brother!

Next January, Shane will be a big brother! 

This time round, we have been really chilled out about number 2. It's week 12 already and we are still stuck in Singapore. It will probably be another few weeks before we get to see a obgyn in NJ. Time to hunt for a new doctor!

The real potty training

Shane came up to me this morning today and said "pee pee" and then paused a short while and said "poo poo". He ran to the toilet and stood outside the closed toilet door and kept going pee pee and poo poo. But!!! Papa was in the toilet. He started holding his diapers and tugging at it and I banged the door to get papa out ASAP! Brought him into the toilet, took off his diapers and then he did a pee and poo! My boy can officially start his potty training now.
